iPerform3D is a small, passionate company founded by musicians and technologists from diverse backgrounds.  One day a few of us were talking about when and why we started playing guitar, the music we liked to play, the guitars we owned, and the instruments we lusted after. While our stories differed, improving our playing was a goal we all shared.

The conversation then shifted to how guitar players get better. We agreed that a great teacher is probably still the best way to learn, but finding the right person is not always easy. We talked about the online options and concluded that while many of the teachers were great, online video lessons left much to be desired.

A video gamer in the group suggested a new and revolutionary approach to capturing lessons using the same technology employed in games and movies. If we could create highly accurate "virtual" teachers that we could move around, slow down, and view from any angle, it would be like walking up to our favorite players and telling them exactly what we wanted to see. Best of all, they would never get tired, and be available to us 24/7.

Just over a year into iPerform3D, we’ve become one of the fastest growing guitar learning systems online. Our mission is far from complete, but we’re very excited about the thousands of guitarists who are successfully learning guitar using our patented MoCap360 technology. In the words of one of our users, “This is the best guitar learning tool of the 21st century.”
